Fighting the Theocratic Power Grab
Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist (R-TN), the man who admires Christian theocrat David Barton, is on the attack. Intent on ramming-through the Christian Right’s favorite judicial nominations, he is engaging in some of the crassest majoritarianism in American history. Frist wants the Republican majority in the Senate to end the filibuster rule for judicial nominations. Democrats have filibustered a number of extreme Bush nominations to the federal bench, and have promised to do more. Ending the filibuster rule will allow the Republican majority to easily confirm even the most extreme and theocratic candidates. It’s not yet clear he will have enough votes to get the rule changed, so Frist is going to appear in a national telecast organized by the Christian Right Family Research Council with FRC president Tony Perkins, James Dobson president of Focus on the Family, Dr. Albert Mohler, president of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and Chuck Colson founder Prison Fellowship Ministries.
Fliers for the April 24th telecast called “Justice Sunday,” argue that those who oppose the Christian Right’s most extreme judicial nominations are “against people of faith.”
“As the liberal, anti-Christian dogma of the left has been repudiated in almost every recent election, the courts have become the last great bastion of liberalism,” Perkins wrote on the FRC web site. “For years, he continued, “activist courts, aided by liberal interest groups like the A.C.L.U., have been quietly working under the veil of the judiciary, like thieves in the night, to rob us of our Christian heritage and our religious freedom.”
This partisan attack on the religious faith of the opponents of the theocratic right, has drawn outrage and sparked a mobilization in response. Check out pastordan’s extraordinary post on The Daily Kos. Pastordan, (Rev. Dan Schultz), a minister in the United Church of Christ, movingly explains what being a Christian and a Democrat means to him, and encourages others to “represent” their faith as well.
Meanwhile over at Mainstream Baptist, Dr. Bruce Prescott unpacks some of the more scurrilous rhetoric of the Christian Right. I like his approach to reframing in anticipation of the all-out theocratic attack on the nation’s courts.
George Lakoff, best known for his work on reframing the political debate for progressives, also has a diary on The Daily Kos announcing a campaign he is working on with the a national organization of progressive Christians, the Clergy and Laity Network and Drivedemocracy. They are seeking to organize a Social Justice Sunday in response. Good idea. (About 15 years late, but a good idea.)
Democrats and liberals, whether “of faith,” or not have hardly changed the way they do business in 30 years. Press releases, messages and one-time coordinated church services are fine. But not enough. Contrary to commonly held opinions, the Christian Right is powerful is not because of their values or their messages, its because they won elections. They worked hard to build their constituency, and their electoral capacity, and no other sector of the electorate is as well organized. That may have everything to do with why Frist is catering to them. He wants to run for president in 2008.
None of their success justifies their extraordinary, majoritarian power grab. But what is happening now is a sobering reminder of the extraordinary failures that have got us to where we are now. I wrote about the need for a fresh response to the Christian Right a few weeks ago, and offered some initial ideas for what it might be.
It is long past time for people to mobilize. Long past time for Americans to turn off the television; get off the golf course and out of the endless miles of mindless shopping malls. It is time to get far more politically active. I will have much more to say about this in the coming weeks.
I hope many folks will participate in Social Justice Sunday. Then, let’s start figuring out how to win some more elections.

The INNOCENTS and their FAMILIES are the losers in WAR in IRAQ.
Up until today; 1,571+ innocent American soldiers have been killed in IRAQ.
Soldiers who were wounded, lost body parts, or were paralyzed, and have become chronically ill with physical or mental illnesses. Also, soldiers that have been evacuated due to non combatant wounds or other injuries and diseases are over 17,000.
Other innocent soldiers from coalition troops dead number 176.
All the dead and those wounded are Innocent, because they were defending (and still are) the erroneous Vision of FREEDOM of a utopian political demagogue; whom had received power from the people to lead them and enlighten a dark World with Mercy and Love (if he in deed was a follower of CHRIST as he had said). However, he deceived the people with his own vision of “WAR on TERROR” for PEACE; Instead of using that power for good he used it to steal, kill and destroy because he is also a liar
As it is written and the MESSIAH says:
“VERILY, verily, I say unto to you, He that enters not by the door (employing His “Gospel of PEACE”) into the sheepfold (to lead the Faithful), but climbs up some other way, (“Advance of Freedom and PEACE through WAR”) the same is a thief and a robber. “Yes, he has stolen the FAITH and the WEALTH of the PEOPLE with lies; and has used THEM to kill and destroy;”
Innocent Iraqi civilians killed by US. BOMBING are estimated to be between 21,000 and 25,000 in two years; most of them elders, women and children. IRAQ is in chaos and all people including American soldiers and their families of the nation are suffering. Is this not a WAR CRIME against the people of IRAQ and all humanity? Can we humanly say that this insane killing and human suffering should be called Liberation?

The False Prophet.
“And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. This man’s name signifies, that he is one opposed to the lower class or the common people, he is wise and documented in the Knowledge of God, he made himself rich using the name of the Lord, but the Lord does not know him as one of His sheep, and the words that he has spoken on television to his audience, do not come from the Lord’s Mouth, but they come from the thoughts of a foolish mind and the intentions of an evil heart. And do not forget Psalm 37, 1- “Fret not thyself because of (terrorist) evildoers, neither be you envious against the workers of iniquity (Iraq WAR). 2- For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and whither like the green grass. 11-But the meek shall inherit the Earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of Peace. 13- The Lord shall laugh at him; for he sees that his day is coming. 28-For the Lord, He loves Judgment, and forsakes not His saints; but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off. 30-The mouth of the righteous speaks wisdom, and his tongue talks of Judgment. 31- The law of His God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide. 32-The wicked watches the righteous, and seeks to slay him. He wrote in Ecclesiastes 10: 3: “Yea also, when he that is a fool walks by the way, his wisdom fails him, and he says to every one that he is a fool.” A fool also would have to pay for his foolishness, and I say unto you: “You just made, your last miracle, you have healed the blind and deaf people of the 700 Club in the Name of Jesus. FALSE PROPHETS IN AMERICA.
November 24, 2005 Year of Our Lord. Orlando Florida City of Lights.
This early morning, while Hurricane Wilma was in action against the Florida coasts, I went to my place were people come to have their health restore. As I listen to the messages recorded in my telephone machine, I heard the voice of false prophet Kenneth Copland saying:
“We take stand against this storm call Wilma. Father we pray over this storm in Jesus name. Wilma we speak to you and we command you in the name of Jesus, by the blood of the lamb, you touch us not! You fall to the bottom of the sea, you don’t have authority over the people of God; we have authority over you. Every principality, every power, every rumor of the darkness of this World, trying to take advantage of that storm to destroy God’s people and their properties; I rebuke him, in the name of Jesus Amen! Dear partners get it together, stand against this thing and rebuke fear! Don’t you allow fear to have anything to do with the way you pray about this or in your household, stand on the Word, we love you, we believe in God! We are always here for you and remember you can call us at 1-800-600-7395. To heard this message again or read the transcript visit our web site at KCM.org”
Then, the Word of the Lord came upon me saying: “No weapon that is form against thee shall prosper: and every tongue that shall raise against thee in Judgment you shall condemn. This is the Heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their Righteousness is of me, saith the Lord. Isaiah 54:17.
Then I said: “Kenneth Copland, you have rebuke Wilma and the Judgment of God upon all nations. But the Lord rebukes thee Satan!”

i believe we all have made mistakes including you and because you believe the Lord told you something doesn’t mean you need to share it with the world — next before you share it according to scripture the church as a way to deal with information before it is broadcast and must be brought forst to those in authority over you — so did you do that first or did you base your decision on feelings which we all know is a bad way to deal with information we are all to be held accountable I hope you are being held accountable not only in heavan but on earth too.

Then, the BOOK of DANIEL [“GOD is my JUDGE” his Hebrew name] continued to be as a night vision of revelations in chapter 7 verse 10, as he opened the BOOKS as commanded by The LORD; for the JUDGEMENT of GOD to the Gentiles has already being SET upon this nation; and now is being brought forth unto TRUTH: “A fiery stream issued and came forth from before Him: thousand thousands ministered unto Him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him; the JUDGEMENT was set, and the BOOKS were OPENED.” Then he saw PSALM 2 again: “Be wise now therefore, O you Kings: be instructed, you Judges of the Earth. . . Serve the LORD with fear and rejoice with trembling.” And HIS voice thundered “Behold! Behold! I AM the PRINCE of PEACE, the only ONE thus says the LORD, and as I said before I say now; this is in deed the Time to bring JUDGEMENTMENT to the Gentiles and reveal TRUTH to the nations, here is a little and there comes a little more.”
And behold; the night vision was now like in a great television screen showing the name: The King of MYSTERY BABYLON the GREAT; then there appeared the President of the United States of America; dressed with a tricolor hooded cloak garment of stars. And he had in his head a crown of gold that was melting; and the precious metal was going into his eyes making him blind; and when he walked toward a ceremonial bowl filled with water to clean his eyes; he then tripped his foot against a Stone, a tried Stone, a precious corner Stone set by the ceremonial bowl that was filled with water. And as he stumbled and fell, his right foot got caught into the ceremonial vessel and the water turned to blood. The President was trying desperately to get his foot out of the bowl while his back was against the floor; but his foot was caught in the vessel with his greed and egotistical pride; and he was shaking his foot with anger and the satisfaction of force while on his back; but the ritual kettle was boiling over with the sacrificial blood of multitudes of humans and melting his sword. Poor and innocent soldiers from many nations, poor and innocent civilians from Afghanistan and Iraq; the blood of poor and innocent children, women and elders from the all over the World was overflowing along his side. And his cabinet along with the republican and democratic courts, and the clergy were there by his side; standing on their knees inebriated with the wrath of his wine; as the American ceremonial vessel became a drowning river of blood. And there came on the screen the words written: “The LAMENTATION of ABOMINABLE HIPOCRASY.”
